I decided to create a free pattern for The Great Outdoors collection that is in stores now. I usually don't have free patterns but I wanted to do something special because it was my first time going back to market after two years and I wanted to create a little something extra for all those folks who purchased this collection. It's an easy pattern and all you need is a little bit of yardage and a Layercake. Below are some images of the quilt. It's called Cabin Window and you can download it HERE.

Blockheads Block 11 Shooting Star

Happy Blockheads Day! Today is my turn to share my block Shooting Star. I wanted to create a block that had some movement and fun. There are so many color possibilities with this block and how fun would it be to repeat. I created this block with my latest collection in stores Noah's Ark. I am creating all my blocks at 6 1/2" unfinished so I can make a super cute baby quilt. You can get this block on my blog or the blockheads facebook page. You can download the block HERE

ALL WRAPPED UP 2.0

Introducing All Wrapped Up 2.0 featuring ABC...xyz fabric. I am so excited about this pattern because the first pattern did very well but the feedback I received was that it should be jelly roll friendly. Sooooo I waited for the perfect collection to feature this quilt and then I designed it so that it would be Jelly Roll friendly. All the strips in the dogs body are 2 1/2" strips so pull out your jelly rolls and create this super cute quilt.

BH4: Block 20 Stop Go

Happy Blockheads day! I am so excited to share my block today called Stop Go. This block was inspired by the constant stop and go of life. There are times in our life where we are working, busy with kids and family and then there are times when we are forced to stop. Usually completely out of our control like health issues, family crises or dare I say it a pandemic!

I love this block because of all the possible colorways and layouts. For my block I created four different options using my Holiday Essentials collection. I feel like it looks great in any holiday and it is such a versatile block.

SAMPLE SPREE: WEEK 10

So for today’s last call out I chose to use orange and pink and boy what a combo it is. I love how these blocks turned out...so warm and fiery.

Can you believe it’s the last call out for our QAL. I am so sad that we are almost done but feel so good about my little stack of gems. I have learned so much from Susan’s book and I will definitely carry them onto my quilting journey. This QAL is not quite over yet, we have to create the quilt next so stay tuned for my finished quilt reveal. I can’t wait to lay these all out and come up with a layout. I love Susan’s layout but I have been surfing the Blockheads Facebook page and have been inspired by a lot of your layouts. I have a few ideas in mind and can’t wait to show you my final pick.
